  • Built in 1942, St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church is home to the Augustinian order in Limerick.
  • This site was one of twenty-three venues used for the 31st edition of EVA in 2007, curated by Klaus Ottmann (b. 1964, Germany) and titled a sense of place.
  • St. Augustine’s was one of numerous sites for a project by Miriam Lohan (b. 1975, Ireland) titled Ringing Limerick. On 7 May 2007, between the times of 11:15am and 11:45am, the artist organised 13 churches around Limerick city to ring their bells simultaneously. This performance was recorded and available to listen to after the event.
