- In its heyday it had many shops around Limerick, with headquarters on William Street.
- This building is now occupied by the department store Guineys.
- William Street, like many others in the city, was named after a member of the wealthy Pery family, William Cecil Pery.
- This site was one of 26 listed venues for the 22nd edition of EVA in 1998, curated by Paul M. O‘Reilly (b. 1934, Ireland).
