  • This office and headquarters for Limerick City and County Council was constructed in the late 1980s.
  • In 1789, the Limerick City Gaol was built on this site, before being demolished and replaced by the City Hall building.
  • Since 1992 it has been used as a venue for EVA in 16 editions, including the 30th edition of EVA in 2010, curated by Elizabeth Katz (b. 1953, Sweden) and titled matters.
  • Here, artist Aoife Desmond (b. 1974, Ireland) presented Atlas Avenue – Relocating Limerick Wastelands (2010) – a work that consisted of 18 photographic screen prints exploring Limerick’s wasteland areas.
